Fall for the Arts, scheduled for 5:00-8:30pm on Friday, October 5, 2012, will be the 5th annual celebration of Brevard's arts and cultural community. This engaging, family-friendly event takes place on the first Friday of October each year on Highland Avenue in the Eau Gallie Arts District. We close Highland Avenue and have a street party! The event features live and impromptu performances, demonstrations such as painting and weaving, food and beverages for sale, and other fun activities. This year, Fall for the Arts is once again partnering with the Eau Gallie Arts District’s First Friday Gallery Walk. Over 65 arts, cultural and historical groups from throughout Brevard County will come together to present highlights of their upcoming seasons and events. Approximately 10 groups are expected to perform on stage, including Dance Arts Centre, Surfside Players, Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Space Coast Symphony Orchestra. Featured demonstrations and impromptu performances will include dance, music, barbershoppers, weavers, animal encounters, and much more.
