Purchasing an Arts license plate is an affordable way to make a direct contribution to the Space Coast’s Arts and Culture community. Introduced by the Florida State Legislature in 1994, proceeds from the sales and renewals of Florida’s “State of the Arts” specialty plate directly support Arts Education programs here in our community. Currently, Brevard receives more than half ($20 of $32) of each tax deductible purchase to aid artists, arts organizations, and cultural institutions.
When you renew your registration, just indicate that you wish to replace your current license plate with a “State of the Arts” plate. You can purchase your license plate by mail, or in person at one of the tag offices in Brevard County. No, you may purchase the plate at any time.
Yes. You can have up to seven characters and it is the same fee as a standard personalized plate (in addition to the specialty license plate cost).
