Indialantic Chamber Singers: Sing We Now of Christmas
The Indialantic Chamber Singers are celebrating 25 years of music! Formed in 1999, the mixed-voice ensemble of auditioned singers will continue their silver anniversary season, with Sing We Now of Christmas.
The first concert of holiday favorites will be performed on Sunday, December 15 at 3:00 PM, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, located at the base of the Melbourne Causeway at 106 N.
The program will be a celebration of the group’s history, with favorite Christmas pieces performed over the past 25 years. As the program title suggests, the audience can expect to hear “Sing We Now of Christmas,” along with “Ding Dong Merrily on High” and the beloved carol, “Silent Night.” Also on the program are “O Holy Night,” “I Saw Three Ships” and several stirring arrangements by the preeminent choral composer, John Rutter. The audience can join in the festive music by participating in a sing-along of “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Angels We Have Heard on High.” Artistic Director Beth Green will conduct the group, with piano accompaniment by Teresa Fleenor. Founder and Conductor Emeritus, David Vogeding will direct the singers in “I Wish You Christmas.”
Friday’s concert will be followed by a free, on-site reception.
Sing We Now of Christmas is free of charge, with a suggested donation of $10 to $15.
The organization is supported entirely by patron donations.
