Kids Art Class: Fall Lanterns

The Studios of Cocoa Beach is hosting a three session children’s class : Fall Lanterns which meets on Thursdays from 4 to 5 pm, November 2, 9, and 16. The class is ideal for children age 4 to 11. The class is also available on Saturday mornings.

This super-fun class focuses on process, rather than product. Process art allows children to explore materials without the pressure of “right” or “wrong” ways to do things.  It helps develop creativity and self-esteem by focusing on what kids imagine rather than their skill level. With excitement and interest in their own creations, kids grow curious and naturally start developing those skills. Groups are small allowing for each child to have as much attention and guidance as they need to create and learn!

Instructor Glaucia Romano has a masters degree in Art Education and is a Florida Certified Art Teacher. Has taught art at public schools for the past 10 years and has experience teaching students with Autism an other exceptionalities and disabilities, as well as English Language Learners.

Class meets at the Studios of Coco Beach, 165 Minutemen Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach.  Fee for the three class session is $67 which includes all materials.
