Works by CBAA Scholarship Winner Carley Fernandez on Exhibit at the Studios of Cocoa Beach
Each spring the Central Brevard Art Association awards a scholarship to a deserving Central Brevard County high school senior. Its 18th annual Student Scholarship recipient is Carley Fernandez from Viera High School. The Studios of Cocoa Beach and Ridley’s Custom Framing of Palm Bay have teamed up to present an exhibit of Carley’s work. A selection of her work, professionally framed by Ridley’s, will be on exhibit from August 2 to August 31 at the Studios’ gallery, 159 Minuteman Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach
Carley’s two dimensional designs often begin as a digital image which is enhanced with alcohol ink pens or acrylic paint. She not only excelled academically but was an active member of the Viera Academy of Art and Design. She is enrolled to begin studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall where she plans to major in Illustration with a minor in Fine Art or Art History.
The Studios of Cocoa Beach is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 am to 7 pm and Sunday 10 am to 3 pm. For information on the Central Brevard Art Association visit their website www.cbaaartists.com.
