Biography
Rebecca Gomme is a self-taught, award-winning photographer and painter. The artist is a native Floridian and raised in Brevard County. She comes from a long line of Floridians and Southerners reaching back to the early 1800s.
Much of the artist’s childhood was spent camping in Florida’s forests where nature was the highlight of those youthful adventures. More recently, Rebecca and her family enjoy many hiking excursions in Florida’s county and state parks, and the Great Smokey Mountains of Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. These trips make an impression that inspire the images she captures.
“Painting with Light” is a collection of wildlife and nature scenes. The collection displays the artist’s love of wildlife and natural woodlands of the Southeastern United States. “Painting with Light” also highlights rare and endangered wildlife.
