The Brevard Gourd Society Artists are a chapter under the Florida State Gourd Society, there are 5 chapter in Florida. The Florida Gourd Society sponsors a state Gourd Festival the last weekend in February at the Azan Shrine Auditorium. Our patch has been excited to be the host for the last 10 years to bring this amazing show to Brevard County.
We meet monthly on the first Sat. of every month at the Eau Gallie Library for a brief meeting and a workshop showing a technique. A fee is collected to cover the supplies and your gourd. Projects include painting, cutting, wood burning and weaving on raw gourds. Visitors are welcome to come by and learn what gourd crafting is all about.
