Description
Space Coast Art Festival (SCAF), is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. In 1963, a small group of artists and local community leaders, formed the first "Cocoa Beach Sidewalk Art Show". In 1972 the Organization incorporated to become the Space Coast Art Festival and the event date of Thanksgiving Weekend was established.
In 2014, after 50 years of outstanding Festivals in Cocoa Beach, the Festival was asked by the City to relocate due to construction and space constraints in the downtown area. Port Canaveral issued an invitation and two very successful Festivals occurred there until the Port withdrew their invitation due to cruise traffic and parking issues. The next two Festivals were held at Manatee Park in Cape Canaveral, before moving to Viera, FL in 2019.
This Fine Arts Festival is currently held at the beautiful and vibrant outdoor shopping center The Avenue® Viera in Viera, Florida, the 3rd weekend in October. The Festival also includes a Student Art Show, children’s activities, and much more.
