Description
Diane Larson has been sailing and painting for most of her life, in the Pacific, the Atlantic and Caribbean. From San Francisco to Mexico, from Maine to the Caribbean and everywhere in between. In 2012 she relocated from California to the East Coast. She now works from her studio on the Space Coast in Cocoa, Florida
ARTIST STATEMENT To me painting is a very physical activity, not unlike sailing. I love pushing paint around. I love the way two colors merge into a totally new and different color. I love creating something that didn't exist before I thought of it. It's exhilarating!! As a sailor, I have traveled thousands of miles on my sailboat. As an artist, I have put thousands of brush strokes on canvas. The rewards at the end of a passage or a painting, offer me the same feelings of personal satisfaction. Come along with me on my journey as I paint the stories of my life!
