Biography

I have been an artist my entire life, starting with a BFA Fine Arts Degree from CW post College LIU in New York, to my former employment as the Assistant Program Administrator for EGAD here in Melbourne. I have been a resident of Brevard County since 1999, and worked in Brevard Schools as a Graphic Art teacher for 11 years. Prior to that I was a Graphic Artist at Harris Corp., among several other local businesses.

I was an active volunteer at the Foosaner Art Museum prior to it's closing this past summer. I won Volunteer of the Year my first year working there and was very sad to see it go. I am also involved in the Aspiration Academy, a nonprofit organization comprised of citizens who care about the education of children in our community. This is a mentoring and coaching program for underprivileged children in our community. I have been involved in several community endeavors over the years, such as the Satellite Beach dog park marketing and advertising campaign and designing the Satellite Beach anniversary logo.

I am currently retired and have been working with mosaic art for quite a while. My most recent projects have been resurfacing surfboards and creating unique original designs, featuring local materials, such as beach glass, sand, colored shells, and many more. My surfboards are one of a kind, coastal designs and I would love to see them displayed publicly in our area. I believe my surfboards illustrate a direct tie to our coastal area and would be a wonderful addition to the airport expansion project.
