by Kestrel Michaud Artist Statement: Her skin might be leathery, but this lovely lady enjoys soaking up the sunshine just as much as the next girl. That big, toothy grin says she’s living her best life out in the Florida swamps. Even apex predators need beauty sleep! The kaleidoscope of Florida-native butterflies is treating this gorgeous gal to her very own “princess” moment. These butterflies are all found in my own backyard and neighborhood. The alligator, fortunately, is not. Originally a quilt, this piece is now a print on a floating frame (Black Lacquer) stretched canvas.

by Vanessa Bates Description: A happy labradoodle surfs all day, sometimes startling the occasional seagull. This concept was constructed from multiple studies of a friend’s puppy and the seagull was added for comedic effect. This is an open edition reproduction embellished with acrylic. The image itself is printed by an 11-color pigment ink jet printer on a Fredrix archival canvas, assuring that the reproduction will last for generations.
